A creative project combining Foraging, Ceramics, and Whittling
In collaboration with Phoebe Ward ceramics
Saturday 9th May 1pm-5pm & Saturday 23rd May 1pm-5pm
Over two sessions, create your own unique ceramic utensil rest (dublé) and accompanying hand-carved wooden spatula. The workshops include:
A guided foraging walk in a beautiful local woodland, collecting flora to create your decorative botanical design.
Crafting your fired and glazed ceramic item: a dublé (spoon or spatula holder) under expert tuition from local ceramicist, Phoebe Ward.
Whittling a spatula to go with your finished piece. You’ll be introduced to the traditional craft of whittling wood using hand-tools, and hone techniques shared by our experienced Live Wild whittling tutors.
Please note, this is a two-part workshop with the first session on Saturday 9th May, and the second on Saturday 23rd of May.
