Directions and Parking Knott Wood

Public transport directions to Knott Wood:

(for directions to the Unitarian Church click here)

Our meeting point is at Savile Road Bowling Club. This is 1 mile from Hebden Bridge train station if you are coming on public transport.  It is approximately a 20 minute walk from the station.  Alternatively, get the bus from Hebden Bridge train station, when coming out the station walk to the end of Station Road, turn right and you will see the bus stop.  Get the 590 or 592 (these run regularly along the A646 between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden).  The bus stop to get off at is straight after Stubbings Wharf pub, this is on your left over a footbridge but visible from the bus (you may want to ask the driver to tell you when to get off). Next cross the road, walk back in the direction you have come from and you will see Saville Road on your left after a minute. Turn up Savile road (also known as Prospect Terrace).  Take the first left, known as Morningside, the meeting point is at the end of this road.

Car directions from Hebden Bridge: Leaving Hebden Bridge on the A646 towards Todmorden, go past The Stubbings Wharf pub on your left. You need to take the next turning on your right, known both as Savile Rd and/or Prospect Terrace. Please park here and then walk with your child/children taking the first left, known as Morningside. The meeting point is at the end of this narrow road at Savile Rd Bowling Club. This is marked on the map (see link above).

n.b  We are sorry parents are no longer allowed to drive up Morningside Road or park at the Bowling club.

Car directions from Todmorden:  Take the A646 towards Hebden Bridge for approx 4 miles. After passing under the railway bridge, take the second left,  known both as Savile Rd and/or Prospect Terrace.  Park here and then walk with your child/ children taking the first left, known as Morningside. Parking and meeting point is at the end of this narrow road at Savile Rd Bowling Club.
