Full Day Courses
Learn how to identify seasonal edible plants and cook up tasty wild treats over a campfire. The day will involve harvesting and preparing foraged plants, as well as learning about plant folklore and their nutritional and medicinal benefits. We will also be exploring the uses of plants for bushcraft purposes such as fire lighting.
At lunch time we will together cook up a range of dishes to share, expect a feast!
The cost for the day is £60. Handouts, lunch, hot drinks and snacks all included, with vegan and gluten free options available.
You will be guided through the day by Live Wild’s Leonie Morris – qualified Bushcraft Instructor & Wild Food Teacher and Miranda Cowan – Ecologist & Environmental Tutor. The seasonal abundance and beauty of the woodland, wetland and hedgerow habitats surrounding our camp will the perfect way to unwind, nourish and connect with your wild side!
Half Day Course
Join us for a nourishing afternoon of foraging!
Learn how to identify seasonal edible plants with confidence. Be inspired by recipe ideas you can try at home. Explore plant folklore, medicine and bushcraft uses. We’ll be using all our senses in this journey to get to know the plants; expect lots of tasting and getting hands on with the plants, as well as some quiet time for observation and reflection.
You will be guided by two of our Foraging Team, which includes;

Miranda Cowan – Ecologist & Environmental Tutor
Sophie Wren- Forager & Wild Food Experimenter
The cost for the course is £35 or £25 for a low/unwaged ticket (plus booking fee). This includes a selection of wild food samples and hot drinks. Bring your own packed lunch, we’ll have a break part way through the course to eat together around a campfire.
